Education and further education are achievements and experiences that will shape the life of a person and can take different shapes some drop out after JSS some after SSS other continue their education and finish the Poly technic or University. One of the most respected forms of Education is a degree of a University. Having finished University is considered one of the highest educational honours a person can achieve. The long time and way needed to finish as the highest product education has to offer brings people closer and connects them in a very deep relationship to their alma mater, a relationship, which will remain a lifetime like marriage. Some of the alumni are so committed to their alma mater that they form organisation to serve their alma mater even after graduation. They have constant meetings and try to contribute.
The National President of the association Tony Danklue called on all alumni to patronise the activities of the association where ever they find themselves. He noted that this year the university will be celebrating her 60th anniversary in December and appealed to all to participate.

One of those meetings was held recently at the C-Poly from the Alumni of KNUST. However this meeting was not only a regular get-together for a retrospective of the good and bad times at university it had a deeper purpose. The meeting was held because of the inauguration of a new branch of the KNUST Alumni a sub branch at the C-Poly called Zone and it is the first of its kind in whole Ghana a Pilot Project. The dedicated Alumni of KNUST working at the C-Poly initiated it, the leader of the now officially inaugurated C-Poly branch Emmanuel Bamfo- Agyei, and his executives spearheaded it.
